App language settings 🌐
One setting handles both
Section titled “One setting handles both”RedKiwi has a single language setting — “Interface Language” in the Profile tab. It controls two things at once:
- App UI (menus, buttons, helper text)
- Subtitle translation language for videos
There’s no separate option to set a different “translation language.” If you set the interface language to Korean, video subtitle translations also appear in Korean.
Supported languages
Section titled “Supported languages”Currently 3 languages:
- 🇰🇷 Korean
- 🇬🇧 English
- 🇯🇵 Japanese
How to change it
Section titled “How to change it”Profile tab → Settings → Interface Language
Pick your language and the entire app, plus subtitle translations, switch together.
⚠️ Machine translation notice
Section titled “⚠️ Machine translation notice”Korean / Japanese / English translations are written by humans by default. Some other languages may be machine-translated, in which case the app shows:
“This video’s translations are currently being provided through machine translation.”
If something’s confusing, asking AI Coach is a good fallback.
💡 Tips
Section titled “💡 Tips”- Start with whichever language is most comfortable — it lowers the load on yourself.
- Once you’re more comfortable in English, try switching the interface language to English. Subtitle translations follow along, giving you an “English-to-English dictionary” learning style.
