Daily goal 🎯

A goal you set yourself for how long you’ll study each day. The unit is minutes. Hit your goal and your streak gets activated.

The default is 5 minutes. Intentionally low, so that even on busy days you can keep things going.

  1. Open the Library tab
  2. Tap the pencil icon in the “Today’s progress” section at the top
  3. Pick a preset or enter a custom value
  4. Save

If you don’t have a goal set yet, your Profile shows a “Set goal” button — tap it to set one in seconds.


The learning record area shows detailed progress:

  • Current progress: “(now 3 min / goal 5 min)”
  • Time remaining: “Time to completion: 2 min”
  • On hit: “Daily goal achieved! 🎖“

The small streak icon at the top is a quick check. Tap it to open the calendar.

Today’s progress is included in the streak calendar.


The “today” counter resets at local-time midnight. After midnight, a new day begins and today’s progress goes back to 0. Yesterday’s record doesn’t disappear — it carries over into your total study time / total expressions learned / streak / weekly chart.


  1. Don’t change the goal too often — flipping the number up and down hurts habit-building.
  2. It’s not a confession to lower it — “sustainability” is way more valuable than “the perfect day.”
  3. Think in weekly averages — a 5-minute day today doesn’t ban a 10-minute day tomorrow.
  4. You can keep going past your goal — the goal is just the floor. If you’re feeling it, do 30 minutes. The extra time still counts on your weekly chart.

What happens to my old streak if I change the goal?

It stays. New calculations start from the moment you change it, against the new goal.

I hit today’s goal but the streak didn’t go up

Usually a sync issue. Close the app and reopen. Or check your internet connection.

Can I set the goal in number of videos instead of minutes?

Right now, only minutes are supported. Video length varies a lot, so we feel time-based goals are fairer.
